In addition to traditional I/O signal management, the DSC10 features numerous integrated, fully configurable functions and a wide range of communication options that make it an optimal and low-cost solution even as an RTU or control device for real-time automation systems. A powerful CPU card (with a 1.6 GHz Intel ATOM processor) with plenty of memory (512 Mbyte of RAM and 512 Mbyte of solid-state disk) make applications versatile and fast. A large LCD display with program-adjustable backlighting, a convenient keyboard with 10 functional keys plus 4 direction keys and 12 software-configurable LEDs make local operation easy. The DSC10 has a wide range of software: dedicated SCADA for display management (graphic synoptics, data presentation, menu management, RCE, etc.); integrated SoftPLC for defining custom logic in all languages provided for by the IEC 61131 standard; direct interaction between SCADA and SoftPLC for data and command exchange; serial and Ethernet communication protocols (IEC 61850 with reporting and GOOSE, IEC 60870, MODBUS, etc.).
